Jewish philanthropy is a powerful source for good in the world, but there is a mismatch between Jewish giving and the funds available for Jewish arts and culture. While 25% of Jewish households give to the arts, only 1% of those funds goes to Jewish arts. Jewish arts have always contributed to our understanding of the Jewish experience, and still today, Jewish arts express our peoplehood and the many ways to be Jewish. Increasingly, Jewish artists are experiencing boycotts and exclusion, threatening their voices and freedom of expression. Now more than ever, with rising antisemitism and dangers to Jewish and Israeli existence everywhere, it’s critical JCI exists to support the artists bravely manifesting our collective Jewish yearnings and staking claims to our continuity and perseverance.

JCI provides a valuable and much-needed service to our many sponsored projects, but the fees charged to our projects do not cover JCI's full operating costs. Please consider a donation directly to JCI to enable us to better serve our current projects and expand our capacity to support even more projects focused on Jewish arts, culture, and media.
